HP DV7 Frozen At The "Starting Windows" Logo At Startup
I cannot turn off the UEFI option, there is no such option, I have deleted everything on the drive, and still Windows 7 would hang at the Starting Windows Screen, I Join over 733,556 other people just like you! i'll do the same for you if i find one. And still Windows 7 just hangs on the Starting Windows screen. check over here

After the reboot its been frozen on the "stating windows" screen. Hope your experience will help other community members facing similar problems. Reinstall IE8? So far (at least) there has always been an option to turn OFF or DISABLE UEFI...

- I restored from the oldest available image (something I had already tried early in the fix-it process).
- Sometimes reseating the RAM, video cards, etc.
- The version is 260.99 AND is WHQL signed (a welcome attribute), which I downloaded...

Main possibility is USB keyboard. check my blog No USB, devices or anything foreign to the OEM parts. i went to Staples and looked at the adapter they have there and that one will not work. because i had to disable secure boot control because if i didnt it would say that there was no digital signature. Yeah mine doesn't have the option to disable either..
I've been reading through the postings for this but have not tried anything yet.The BSOD Stop Error....9086 is associated with this starting hangup.I did go to Intel's site and ran their Try removing all hard drives and booting, If you windows disc succeeds to boot, and enters a hard drive - driver select window, then your windows disc is most likely fine, last line says Loaded: \windows\system32\drivers\crcdisk.sys. if so, try restoring to a previously saved restore point prior to the problem.
